I like that color too, it's fitting for fogs and stands out in a good way. It looks very similar to PIAA and BD's amber. I fall on the side that values our fog lights for what they are designed for, so I only turn mine on in inclement weather. We don't really get fog that often here so you don't need to worry about the flood pattern reflecting too much, and I personally like seeing other vehicles with amberish fogs on during thunderstorms and snowstorms. I can see them better.
That being said, if you really love the look of them on at night and haven't been flashed or pulled over for them I say go for it!! If you feel like you need more light on the road on normal nights, you could also go for HID low beams.
