Cleaned the truck. Removed the dash panels. blew out as much dust as able from vents, switches, and behind dash. Thorough vacuuming. Scrubbed floor mats. Thorough exterior wash. Undercarriage hosing. Engine wet down, spray cleaner, gentle hose off. Next is annual clay bar, waxing.
I'll always carry some of Moab in the recesses of my truck. That talcum-fine dust was something else.

shakedown cruise

[MENTION=24187]Bigrupp[/MENTION], that White Rim Canyon trip acted as a shakedown cruise. It exposed a couple of weak spots on my 4R, each of my making.
You witnessed the not-fully-hunkered-down roof rack forward slide.
Discovered small amount of oil under the filter. It had loosened a bit. I purposely do not crank down the oil filters because of past struggles getting them off. This one went another 1/2-3/4 turn. I will be cranking them down a bit more in the future.
All that high speed bouncing and vibrating shook loose stuff that wasn't properly buttoned down.
Also hard mounted my trans cooler on Sunday, replacing the zip mount things. No evidence of a problem, just figured it's more secure and can't cause any problems with the A/C condenser now that it is not attached to it.
Other than these 3 things my 4R seems to have maintained its operational integrity. Impressive for a 16 year old vehicle with 190,000+ miles.
