Moab 12 -18 Apr

This is probably a long shot, but I was wondering if anyone else will be in Moab the week of 12 April? We were supposed to have a club trip, but everyone bailed. I decided I'm still going even though I won't be able to run some of the the harder stuff since I'll be alone. If anyone is going to be out there let me know, or I'll also be monitoring 146.460 and the local repeaters. I'm KD0ZIR.

mmmmmaybe.
17th-20th with couple of other 50+ish guys + mt. bikes. i plan to go a few days early to do some 4 wheeling. I'm pretty much stock. Sliders, 1" body lift, rear locker.
been mt. biking there before I got my truck so this would be first time wheeling.

Well, if you do come out early and you want a wheeling partner let me know and I'll send you my number.

That would be cool. Always fun to meet new folks and do some wheeling. Thanks for the tip on the other thread too.

I can almost always pull at least a day trip if you give me a 7 day block. I have been on a good amount of the popular trails before and would rerun most. Also always looking to expand my repertoire. Just let me know what trail you might be into and we can set up a time and place to meet.

And just to fuel your fire check out this trip report thread if you haven't already... It was a blast for the one day I made it out.

Haha. Just finished reading that thread. I haven't really decided what I'm doing yet. Getting together with a buddy this week to go over the Moab book and put together a rough plan. If there's something you'd like to do that you haven't done let me know. My first trip so it'll all be new for me.

My girlfriend and I will be there for 5 days starting the 11th. I'd like to do top of the world trail!

You should have planned better and showed up on the 12th like me. Haha. If you wanna get up sometime while we are there let me know. I'll ride up to the top of the world, but I'm not gonna go sit on the edge like everyone else does.

Top of the world is lots of fun. It's definetly more difficult than most ratings make it sound though, because of many of the ledges are tall and undercut. I would rate it more of a 5 maybe low 6 on difficulty.

PM me your number and I will see what your plan is when we get there. Truck is in the shop with frozen cam bolts today. So expensive!

In still still in for the 14th if anyone wants to meet up. I would be down to run just about any trail.

Just in case you guys didn't know it has been pretty windy down here as of late. I would imagine you will see winds in the upper 20s low 30s during these dates at least a couple times. Plan your camping accordingly.

Yeah, I'm down for whatever. I'm there all week so I can do other things later in the week. Maybe something a little tougher since there will be a few of us.

I am not familiar with any of your guy's builds so I'm not sure how tough is tough... Is everyone running at least 33" tires?

EDIT: I would vote for Metal Masher, Steel Bender, or Hell's Revenge as these are all on my to do list. However I am more than happy to go with the group on a trail I have done a time or two before.
