Costco has slightly better deal till May 31st. with coupon, $10 off a case of 6 qts. $36-10=$26, ~$4.5 ea.

My Costco was $34.89 or so. With $10 off, that was just a little over $4. I try and get Mobil 1 for around $4 and I figured that was close enough It had a limit of 3 cases, I bought three cases. I remember when it cost about $22 for a case of 6 at Costco.

Also, Walmart sometimes sells the 5 quart container of Mobil 1 at a cost of around $4 to $4.50 a quart or so.

i remember walmart used to sell 5-qt jugs for $21, that was till mid 2008.

I think Wally World has M1 in the 5qt jug for $23 but not on sale I think they just topped $26.

Castrol Syntec is a bit cheaper.

i bought a 5 quart jug of M1 5W-30 "SUV and Truck" for $22 at my local Walmart this past weekend... maybe I should go back and buy a couple more jugs since it's so cheap. 1 qt bottles are $6.27. It makes more sense to buy the 5qt jugs of the stuff than the 1qt bottles.

Wal-Mart has the Mobil1 5qt jug for $28 up until just a few weeks ago when they dropped the price to $22/5qt jug. I saw Target had the same deal also, but Wal-Mart has a bigger selection in terms of viscosity/weight to choose from.

I bought the Castrol Syntec 5qt jug for $21.97 at Wal-Mart a couple times when the Mobil1 was still expensive. Yes, I'm aware of the controversy that Syntec isn't fully synthetic except for the European formula.

Yeah, I'm going to pick up a few 6qt cases from Costco also with the $10 coupon. Too bad they don't carry 5W20.

On a slightly off topic note, Wal-Mart occasionally sells Mobil1 oil filters as well for only $10. I just wish that I would've stocked up on them when they were available for sale. I've been getting mine M1 oil filters as part of the 5qt of Mobil1 oil + filter for $30 at Autozone whenever they have the deal (it's been awhile now). They run for about $13 separately nowadays. Where do you guys get your M1 filters and how much?

I like the jugs better because it's easier to store and every time I do oil change with 1 jug and half bottle. I also use the jug to store used oil, take it to the local Napa store, they recycle both the oil and jug, just fewer plastic bottles in the landfill.

Yeah I just bought (3) 5 quart jugs myself about a week or two ago.

It's been $22 a 5 qt jug for a while at Walmart. That's the cheapest place I know of.
