Have you looked under one of these lately? You would confirm that what I did in my t4r, that's pretty good given the space it took up.

Yes, I can go bigger tank, go bigger pump, go more tanks, go more pumps. The list goes on and on.

In a mildly lifted 4 runner, I realized that if I would have tried to put my tanks under the truck. I would have killed them when I was high centered in a sandy water crossing last week.

I am keeping my stuff where they are right now.

Some valid suggestions though. It sounds like you have a bunch of experience with on board air like I do. I have done about 3 dozen systems on various cars/trucks.

Lol, i totally agree - I'm not getting a rear bumper any time soon and didnt want to sacrifice my spare, but in retrospect I wish I had gotten the slim 2.5g tank and mounted it where i put my 1 gal tank.

I never said it would work for long, but that tank may last 3 seconds, adding the 50PSI might get you an extra second or 2, thats %25-30 more air. With my 2.5 gallon tank i can take off one wheel(5 lug car wheel)

As he stated his setup is made to be compact, There are much better compressor and tank options if ON board air was your first priority.

Gotcha, thats how mine was too. I just need it for airing up. The terrain by me and gshadow is a lot of sand and airing down yields great traction

anything is possible.

i did in my 05 volvo v70r the following

4 train horn trumpets
2 480c viair compressors
1 5 gallon round tank

i still had the following in the rear under the floor
spare tire
3rd row seat
2 amps
1500cca stinger battery

with the 3rd row opened i still could keep my 10" subwoofer

I have a train horn setup sitting around.

I'd like to mount the compressor under the hood, and I'm still trying to find a place to mount the tank and horns.

I was thinking about mounting the stuff behind the front bumper, but I have a led bar going in.

We'll see how much room is left.

I love that setup with compressor under the hood. How long can you blast the horn for? A few seconds? And how long to re-charge?
