Modified Surco roof rack

So, i got a surco roof rack from a buddy of mine and i need it for my upcoming cross-country trip i'll be taking. Problem is, it did not come with mounts. Just the basket only. So i decided to make my own mounts. i needed to use up some of my supplies i've acquired over the years to make these mounts. So, because of that it took a little longer than i anticipated.

But, in the end i think it'll work. I snapped some quick pics of the rack tonight. I'll take some more in the morning in the daylight and outta the garage.

Looks good! That gives you more clearance above which is nice. My Yakima Loadwarrior scares the hell out of me when I go into a parking garage as I have taken out garage light fixtures in the past.
