If it was 4WD i would have to do the diff drop. Brake lines are fine. I did install the 1.5" Daystar spacer on the driver side rear to compensate for the lean. It is sitting pretty level. Most of the extra work was pulling all the Xreas tubing out. Gaterose did all that while i was working on other stuff

I like the black. I matches well with the rest of the truck and sort of helps tie in the wheels. Looks awesome!

Chrome. From a distance, black makes it look like the hub caps are missing.

I have to agree with Dawg4Runner on this one. That's the first thing they made me think of...look of no caps. Not that that's bad thing, im running cap-less right now ha. I also agree with you in that the shorter caps def look better. If I had to pick one based solely on looks , I'd go with a short, chrome cap. However, knowing that you just bought these, I would just keep them.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I will give it a few days to see how it grows on me. I am going to go ahead and shorten the chrome caps anyway. While i had the wheels off i looked at the chrome caps backed out to make them the same length as the black ones and they looked really good shortened. Who knows....lol...

Well, i ended up going back to the chrome caps. I liked the black ok, but the chrome caps just look better to me. Before i switched them back i went ahead and cut the chrome caps down as well. I think it just gives it a cleaner look with them being a little shorter. Here is a before and after comparison.

How did you cut the caps? Isn't there a press fit flange on the back that seals itself around the hub when you mount the wheels?

The caps have to be put in from the back of the wheel before they are mounted. They just have a lip on them. I ended up going back to the chrome caps. I liked the black, but they just were me.
When i cut them down i just measured in about an inch and made a mark. Then i put the caps on a flat surface, face down. Next to the caps i stacked up a couple of books and put a sharpie on top so that it lined up with the mark. This way i could just turn each cap against the sharpie and it made a perfect line all the way around them. After that i put painter's tape around the caps, right on the line. This gave me a good hard edge to follow with my Dremmel and cut off wheel (actually a few wheels). Once they were cut down and drum sanded i took a pair of Channel Locks and just made a new lip all the way around. Then i was just a matter of installing them. Here is a comparison pic of the black caps.
