Monroe quick struts quality??

I'm looking to upgrade/renew my suspension in my highlander t4r 99. I've pm'd pittbull and he's happy with his billies. But I never off road. I'm in the city, so I'm looking for something a bit more comfortable. I'd love the billies but I think they might be overkill. I'm skeptical about monroes sensa tracs, but the quick struts would help me with the install process. Im not looking to lift anytime soon. I have researched about the quick struts and most seem positive. What do you guys think.

I had the M brand shocks on my 4runner for a couple of weeks. HATED THEM! Switched to Bilsteins, Love them. The Ms were so soft that they felt dangerous. If I hit a dip in the road on a curve it felt like I was going to flip.
 
Hey Gerdo, I did see you posted your experience with the monroes on another site. Forgot which one, but I think you mentioned that you had 2'' spacers. Did you ever have them w/o spacers. Spacers would cause them to over dampen,right? Also were they quick struts in front or did you have a different coil on the front. Thanks
 
I blew a fet sets of monroe shocks back in the day. I always advise aginst going with monroe. Try KYB or something else, and taking the spring off is really easy. Save some money
 
I was looking at the monomax's for around $210 shipped or tokico's trekmasters for around $220 shipped. The cheapest for billies are around $280 shipped.
 
I was talking about the cheaper ones. I put them (kyb ) on an accord and they ride nice The prices you have are pretty good. the tokicos and kybs should be just fine

Nope. I have never had suspension spacers.
My issues with the Ms was that they were too soft.

I bought some when they had a rebate a few months ago. I put a set on the T100 and they are fine. The 4Rnr ones are not as nice. They are really soft. I think it is mostly the rear that is too soft but no way to really tell. Also, limited height options when ordering. There was just one option and there should have been like 3. 2wd, 4wd and 15 or 16" wheel. So, the 2runner is sittin really high right now.
 
I may have scared you, didn't mean to. I love the Billies. They're stiffer than my stock ones were but my stock ones had 190K miles in them. I love the Billies, I never off road either, that's actually why I bought them.
 
If you do not want the Billies, the Tokicos would be my choice. I think Durk replaced his OEM originals with some and likes them very much.

I appreciate your help. Why do they have to be so expensive. I'll keep you guys posted. I have 119k and my setup is still decent. More inputs are always welcomed
