Someone over at Arfcom posted a link to these docs earlier. I watched the first two and though they were pretty cool. Basically they look at the Apollo program from the engineer's perspective.

The Apollo program was the greatest feat of American enginuity and determination ever in my opinion, and when we finished we got to show the ruskies who's boss.

Ever since I was a kid I wanted so desperately to work for JPL and get to wear that NASA shirt. Unfortunately my life didn't go in that path, but I've spent countless hours under the stars staring at the Milky Way. When I was in college, I think every Friday and Saturday night during the winter I was at the observatory looking at the stars. Sirius and and Polaris are my favorites, but Andromeda was always fun to look at.

I'm a huge space geek, I hold Neil DeGrasse Tyson, Carl Sagan and Bill Nye on huge pedestals, and Elon Musk is quickly making his name on the list as well. Before long the SpaceX shirt will be as much coveted as the NASA one.

I remember what got me into it too, October Sky.

easily one of my favorite all time movies. It's an awesome feel good movie that doesn't get old, and it's all based on the life of Homer Hickam - one of NASAs greatest engineers.
