Two of the Mori sets I ran in the past were complete retros I did, still had an occasional light out when starting the car/truck. Re-cycling the light switch fixed it every time.
The s2000's HID system is typically one of the higher/most sought after systems, I had a few occasions where the same thing happened. So I suppose I don't think it happens in that case since I had first hand experience.
I recently installed a Hylux system in a friends vehicle and he has had a similar experience.
This thread will quickly dissolve into a grouping of people defending these kits, or the kit of their preference, those that prefer OEM HID systems, or those that feel a complete retrofit is the only way to go about replacing your headlights. I gave my personal experience as buffer to the OP that someone else has experience this issue, that they don't feel that the Mori kit is junk, and that if the customer service they receive fails to help them out, that hopefully power cycling the lights will continue to remedy this situation.
Hope this helps OP, beyond that I don't really have any interest in arguing against bias or preference. I make a living in semiconductor equipment work, stating that anything one electrical component could be without flaw or better than another would be a gross oversight.
