Motion sensor fog lights on the roof for security?

So I'm looking on eBay for some flood lights to shine off the side of my rig while camping, off roading, or working on others vehicles.

Well enough bs.

Have you guys ever thought about installing a motion sensor light set up for security purposes on your roof? Wired up to a switch ofcourse. Say? Like the ones in front of garage doors that shine over the driveway?. Something like that?

Interesting thought here. I could see use in this. Just make sure they are connected to an aux battery.

But if its led its not going to draw a lot of power. Plus being on the motion sensor it will have like a 5 or 10 min timer on it. So it will auto shut off

The other thing to consider is how sensitive the motion sensor will be or mount location, you wouldn't want cats, raccoons, etc setting it off when they cruise by. Out where I live there is a lot of activity after dark by critters. Like the idea though, interested to see what you come up with. :beer:
