MotoGP Thread

Kevin Schwantz put my daughter on one of the AMA Suzuki bikes when we were walking through the pits at California Speedway in 2005, back when Ben Spies was making a run for the title. I'll find the picture and post it, what a great guy, took the time to talk to us. Also met Jake Zemke that year.
 
Have you guys seen the movie Fastest?

By the way who the hell is Marc Marquez? I was just reading up on GP and haven't kept up on it this year.

that's awesome, he always seemed like a very down to earth guy, just seemed really nice/cool.

Marquez is a rookie and is schooling a lot of the vets lol. He won all 3 US grand prix's!

And I've watched fastest multiple, multiple times. Just the audio coming through surround sound is awesome! There's another one on Netflix I think called "faster." It was the prequel to Fastest I beleive.
 
Correct, there is Faster, Fastest and another one, the Doctor, the tornado and the Kentucky kid. I have all 3 if anyone wants to borrow them. We did this thing on the R1 forum where someone would post a video for loan, and include a small gift of some sort, decals, etc....nothing too expensive, then it would go to the next person and so on. Each person would send a small gift with the box, some were cool, some were funny etc... When the last person is done watching the videos they are sent back to the owner and it's over. I did one that lasted over a year

It's good to know there are good people out there. Awesome story.

Kinda along the same lines I was in the pits at laguna seca and Josh Hayes just walks right in front of us, it was kind of surreal to see him 5 feet walking around like a normal guy. Anyway, so of course he gets surrounded by people wanting pics/autographs and he stayed there and signed and took pics and smiled the whole time (while in ALL his gear except a helmet).
