It's official - whatever happens, my current motor is gone. It's going to take some saving up before I can do anything, so I've got time to think about this.
Option A: Buy a 22R short block from a fellow I know and swap my EFI goodies into it. Cheapest solution, and no damned fun at all.
Option B: 5vze or 3rz swap. I'm considering these because they're OBD-II. I'm not considering them very hard because they're the two most expensive options.
Option C: 7mge swap. I'm seeing Supras in the classifieds for $1500. I like this because it's the most power of the options I'm looking at and also lets me run a W56, which leads to a much cheaper dual case setup.
Option D: Drop $3000 on a stage 2.5 longblock from Putneys: 22RE Performance - Rebuilt Engines I've already got the exhaust, so ordering this motor with a ported intake plenum and adding a Supra 3 inch intake just might be all the power I need. And I wouldn't have to mess around with wiring harnesses and modifying motor mounts and such. But it's still not a 7mge.
Help me make up my mind.
