MP3 Install

Has anyone tried to install the 06 MP3 Compatible stereo into an 05? If so, did you go through a dealer or on your own.... Price... Ideas...

Currently have a FM transmitter and would like to declutter the cockpit a bit with better sound quality..... Thanks
