Mpg.. 25...?

Mebbe somebody is playin a trick on him and adding fuel . (Just Kidding !) I recently got 20 mpg on a purely highway trip, but that's the best it's ever been.

Of course nobody is going to beleive this, but one time when I was not in a hurry and was going from MI to GA, I topped that sucker as high as I could get it and drove 460 miles (460.2 to be exact) and put almost exactly 18 gallons in it (18.0xx to be exact), topped off to the max again.
It was fall, the outside temps were in the 60's. I did not have to run the A/C. And because I was taking my time, I put the cruise control on 65 mph, which is the speed limit in OH & KY on I-75.
25.5 mpg. With a 2000 model, 4X4 SR5. Oh yeah, I should mention mine is a 5 speed manual as well. If I run 75 mph with the A/C on, I regularly get between 22 and 23 mpg. Around town it is always a skosh over 20 mpg. But its for sale

Wow, guys, I've never got near that. Best mixed is 19.6 MPG, usually a little less and I'm V6 90 model, 4WD, manual. Runs good though after a little work. Still some to go, I suspect my problem is the idle sometimes sticks at 1K and sometimes drops to 800 where it should be. Once I figure out that proble, then maybe it will go up some. I'll post this later if anyone has any ideas, i'll put more details in.
