MPX B fuse blows when rear hatch opens

2000 runner. no locks, rear wiper. locks work when key is in ignition. found out it may be MPX B fuse. replaced fuse and everything works fine3. I open rear hatch and the fuse blows. I am thinking wiring to rear hatch may be worn. Any ideas?

Yeah, right where the harness goes from the liftgate to the body. Very common on these trucks.
