Mrs. CrAcK3r's Build (NEED HELP!)

Alright everyone, I need as much help and info as possible. So if you have any answers, ideas, or suggestions, please post them. This is my girlfriends 2004 4Runner SR5 (I think it's an SR5). This vehicle has been through a lot, and I'm looking to get it back in shape. There is a lot of work that is about to take place on this vehicle, and I'll be uploading and sharing photos to show the progress as it comes. The body of this vehicle needs some work so I think I'll start there, and then work on the interior/audio/entertainment.

Can anyone tell me where to get this missing piece, which I think is an ashtray?

Is there any way to get this fixed, or are we just SOL?

Ok, now comes the scary part. What needs to be done to the body and how much should I expect to pay to get it fixed?

I'd guess the body is going to need professional work. That gash on the driver's side is gnarly.

The cracked dash upholstry is nuts. I don't think there's any "fixing" that other than "replacing" it. Armorall people, Armorall!

The missing piece you've got there is a change bin (at least that's what I use it for). Check ebay. Ebay has everything.

Check ebay for the tailight too. Gonna need a new one of those.

Honestly, probably cheaper to find a girlfriend that doesn't run into stuff with her vehicle.

I'm not sure what can be done about that gouge on the driver's side, maybe bondo? I wouldn't imagine that can be replaced without replacing the whole cabin.

You should be able to find a tail light pretty cheap, as wtn11 said, on eBay.

Bumpers would probably be cheapest on eBay as well, or possibly a junkyard. I wouldn't think it would be too hard to find a used one already painted her color, but it looks like it's gonna need a lot of paint anyway.

yeah, I'd check ebay for new bumper covers.

Is the scratch on the driver's side also a dent? or is it just a really long scratch in the paint? cant tell from the picture on my monitor.

either way you're looking at some good coin to fix that.

Start with new bumper skins, make sure that rear bumper isn't bent. Get the interior piece off of ebay. Find one of those dash mats to cover up that nasty vinyl. get a headlight buffing product and buff the haze out of the headlights.

First though, is this vehicle mechanically sound? no point in making it look pretty if it runs like crap.

I don't think it is as bad as it first appears........

As stated above: get the center console piece, the tail lights and the passenger side marker light off of eBay

Any decent paint guy can make both bumpers and fender flares look brand new again.

The paint guy that does your bumpers and flares should be a body guy as well. That way he only has to mix the paint once for everything that needs to be painted. He will bondo the dents and paint everything. It will be quite a bit of paint because he will have to blend the rear door, part of the roof and possibly the tailgate. But it will all match.

The tricky part will be the dash. The reason it is so tricky is you are messing with the passenger side airbag and the only way I know to fix that is to replace the dash. Plus there are quite a few places that won't mess with a dash because of the airbag.

Your best bet is to get the pieces you can off of eBay then take the 4Runner to a few body shops and see what they will charge for the dash and all the paint/body work. The paint and body work will cost some money but the bumpers and flares can be salvaged, which will save you a little.

Or try car-parts.com. Then maybe you can get one already painted your color. Plus they have all the other parts and you might get them cheaper and not have to have them shipped.
