They look great! I opted for a standard "mocha" and it matched the oak pretty well. Definitely worthy investments! And I put my own seat heaters in. Just in time for winter!

Hope you don't mind answering a question, but I just recently bought a 2000 4Runner and I really like the bumpers you have on yours. I'm curious about the finish you had on them earlier in the thread. On the first page or two you have them in a finish that looks like a dark gunmetal gray of some sort. . I love the way that looked and I think it'd compliment my Millenium Silver truck very well. What kind of finish did you use to get that appearance?

Duplicolor gunmetal wheel paint. I went to standard black because everyone and their mother started using it shortly after it was launched.

Thanks, looked up the Duplicolor and they have some nice color options. Including a Graphite that I think would look sharp with a matte clearcoat over it.

Love your truck btw, definitely inspiring some thoughts on what do with my own 4Runner.

Ha-ha thanks, I don't post here much anymore unfortunately. Maybe I'll try to get some pics from my trips this summer up today.

Got to do some work on the 4runner today! I stripped and por15 coated the rear axle because of my brake fluid indecent earlier this year and I fixed my broken headlight tab and halos.

Since I got it from Texas and it was completely rust free I wanted to keep it that way. When I got the brake fluid on the Axel I didn't want it to rust so a couple costs of por15 rust prevention and then por15 chassis coat did the trick today I am applying fluid film to the rest of the underside.

They are pretty hawt haha. I am really not a fan of the white halos tho luckily they are switch backs tho so an easy change if I want.

Yeah, I only need one color. If I could switch it, my ADHD would be in full effect, plus I would find a way to shock myself hooking them up lol.

If I had it my way they would just be Amber, but TRS in their infinite wisdom discontinued the one color ones. My buddy has the rgb ones that suck, and I have the 2 color ones (xBS) that are setup like this.

Drl is set as white and the. Amber for a turn signal :}

I didn't know you couldn't get one color halos from TRS anymore. I kinda wanted just straight amber when I do mine.

How do you like that fiskars axe? I'm looking at the slightly smaller version myself.

You can't anymore but you can run the switch back halos on a solid color. They are not as bright though. Supposedly they are updating them at the end of the year to make them brighter.

I love the splitting maul a lot and would buy it again in a heart beat. I want to get a chopping/felling axe yet too. Take a look at their website though they are releasing a new splitting maul soon that looks sweet too!

Hmmm. I'm looking to do a retrofit with the new year coming up and wanted to do halos. I guess I'll have to decide if I want the switchback or to just run them as a solid color.


I'm looking at the 23.5" chopping axe to keep in my truck along with some over recovery type of stuff. Seems like a decent deal at $35 with a lot of good reviews.
