Mud Terrains?

Okay so I have the Base 4runner 2wd :sobbing:

Anyway I am upgrading from stock tire size soon. I know some people run a 31" tire at stock height. I am worried that with mud terrain it will add extra height, so would it be possible for me to run a 31" Mud Terrain at stock height? I am willing to do some trimming to make them fit. Or should I just go down to a 30" Mud Terrain?

i put 33" on a stalk hight and could turn more than 3/4. put 2.5 lift and still rub.
rubbing isnt a real problem but when the outer of the tire gets past the accent piece that blends the flairs with the runner it will try to rip it off when you try to put them straight again. like it did on mine. :thumb3:

I've always had 32"s and even before my lift I had now rubbing at all. Unless you are sagging a lot I don't think you will have a problem.

Your mud terrain 31s should be fine. Stock wheel? How wide of a tire? that makes as big of a difference as any.

Alright sounds good! The tire size I am looking at is 31/10.5/R15

Not a super wide tire or anything, and the front only sags maybe 1/2 inch, the back might be 1.5 so it sounds like I should be fine

I honestly think if you're going to spend the money on a set of tires, you really oughta get yourself a set of 16" to 17" rims. You can find yourself with more tire choices and it will help if you ever want to upgrade your brakes or anything.

I'm sure there's some cheap sets on craigslist...

Then if you have bigger rims, you should get some metric sizes tires yes yes

265-70-16 is stock size for the 16" wheel havin' 4Runner... so one size up to 265/75/16 sounds good lol.

Let us know what you do, those tires are disastrously small buddy!

X2 15" rims are starting to fade out over the past couple years. 16 and 17 wheels have more choices and you can find good used tires for cheap.

Yea I would like it get some 16's or 17's but its just not in the cards right now. Maybe next time!
