Plano 68 Quart Tote (pn# 1719-00)

Keeper 1 in. x 10 ft. x 400 lbs. Cam Buckle Tie Down (pn# 05110)

Keeper 1-1/2" Wire Ring, 4 Pack (pn# 04522)

1-1/2 in. x 48 in. Aluminum Flat Bar with 1/8 in. Thick

Crown Bolts - 1/4 in. -20 x 1-3/4 in. Phillips-Slotted Round-Head Machine Screws

Nylon Lock Nuts - 1/4 in. -20 tpi

Washers - 1/4 in.

Can you measure the width of the bottom of the 3 stacked side by side? I have an aftermarket slide and want to make sure i can fit 3 across

It's 40" between the anchors which has them right up against the storage container. That's measured from D-Ring to D-Ring.

perfect, that's very helpful and looks like 3 will fit for me

(I didn't get mine with the factory slides so I've been using this: Black Cargo Slide by Beyond Cargo for SUV and Mini Vans )

Great setup! With the three accross, if you did not have the retention straps, do they really slide around much? Also, what kind of straps are those?

probably still strapped down so they don't become a deadly missile in an accident

Thats a good point however they are only 12" tall leaving quite a bit more clearance would be needed to fly over the back seat. Not stacked of course, just three across.

if you hit something perfectly square on a flat road, probably, but in a bad accident anything not strapped down could hit you so make sure anything that has some weight is strapped down

Nice setup man, I already have 3 of the Plano's. Great product for the price. Surprised its the same price at my local wall-mart lol ! Going to buy some more for my garage storage/end of the world/BOB/keep it clean for the wife

They slide pretty easy even with a traction mat. I always strap them because my girl goes where I go.

I used cam buckle tie downs which are sufficient for the load of the cargo in the Planos.

This is exactly what Ive been looking for to mount supplies to the tray! Did you have to remove the tray to mount the anchors? Or can the securing plate be mounted underneath by extending the tray out as far as it will go?

You'll need to remove the tray if you are going to put anchors in the center. Takes about 5 minutes to remove. Pry from the front... You can see in this linked thread where the plastic anchors are on the access panels. IIRC, there were 4 bolts under each access panel to remove and then it just comes right off.
