gosh, sounds bad...

no but seriously, I would like to tuck the muffler up little higher underneath out of sight... down side is the muffler, I just don't see any other way cause it's friggin too big and has to be swapped.

is there another 'stock' muffler that's 'flatter' than the current?
sound should be 'stock'...

I've asked three shops, and they all said it'll be louder... I figure I'll give this one last shot online. I'm sure I'm gonna be flamed for 'another muffler thread'

otherwise I'll just go the biggest borla...

My question to you is...why a muffler tuck exactly?

Purely esthetical reasons? Or do you have a practical reason to need to tuck the muffler?

Just curious.

I replaced the oe muffler on my 96...

This one is a Walker Sound FX for my 96 4Runner. It was a little louder but I didn't/don't hate it. It's a muffler and that's about all I can say about it.

I guess I don't notice my muffler that much because I'm not lifted, but would a simple turn down tip accomplish what you're trying to do? Would be really cheap too.

I decided on going the borla 40664 it's alot smaller but definitely louder...

I'm not super happy, as I do have drone 1600-2000rpm, I'm thinking about adding a resonating J pipe in... LINK

I'm gonna test it... I'm sure it'll make a difference. it does on the intake of my 97 4runner.

EDIT: another GREAT ... LINK
