Muffler Woes..

So today I was in a parking lot backing up and instead of taking the time to do a 5.5 point turn, I decided to just go on the snowbank, which has never been a problem before well this time my luck ran out. I heard something odd. Got out to see the muffler bent to 4 inches above the ground. I was like OK, just bend it back into the mount. Well the stupid little protruding rod decided to hang on by a thread, so I decided not to touch it until spring when I can weld it back on. After getting some copper wire and literally string the muffler up it is about 2 - 3 inches from where it should be. My question is, did I do any damage? And if I did, how much would the cheapest fix be? Thanks in advance guys.

That protruding rod you speak of, is that the exhaust hanger? Did it plug into a rubber mount? That's just used to keep the exhaust near the body of the truck. Cheapest fix would be to get the rod welded back on. Any exhaust shop should be able to do that for you.

Or you can use this as an excuse to get a Magnaflow or aftermarket exhaust. :D

Well I would LOVE to get an after market exhaust but I have NO money right now. Also Its held on by copper wire, so it's fine, but come spring time I will either just weld it back on or if we have money buy a aftermarke.
