Hey guys sooo I'm having some troubles with the runner. I've been super busy the past few weeks to address any of the issues. So I've gotten to take a look at them today. I will explain all symptoms and issues and what work has been done to it recently. All issues are DRIVE TRAIN RELATED

2000 3.4 5 speed manny tranny

1) wobbling harmonic balancer/crank pulley straightens out right after a little throttle is applied

2) rear end clunking shifting into gears first through third

3) clutch chatter/vibration also when cold start I will leave it in gear overnight and when I start it in the morning I engage the clutch to put it in neutral it jumps forward a little bit upon releasing clutch in neutral

4)really high clutch pedal engagement

Here is what I have done within a
About the last 10,000 miles

1) Timing belt w/p and CRANK PULLEY I broke the original pulley upon installation when I was doing the timing belt but replaced with an Oem pulley. Is it possibly a defect? I torqued down to 217ft lb and used a new bolt with locktite.

2) just had u-joints in drive shaft replaced along with a rebalance and greasing

3) I replaced my clutch 6k ago torqued everything down with correct specifications. I used all Oem with that. The clutch disc was an actual brand new disc not re-maned

The truck runs good no misses no sputtering there is vibrations through out the truck. But that is also due to unbalanced tires and shot rear bearings. Not really sure where to start I did check crank pulley and couldn't wiggle it the slightest by hand. Did check to see it bolt was loose couldn't tighten or loosen it with an impact. I feel like all these symptoms could be related.

I remember before I did my clutch my buddy saying your crank pulley looks a little shaky but I completely spaced until we were talking about it a few weeks ago.

I was inspecting a little bit more and the clunking through gears sounds more like it is coming from the out put on t case. Could a bad bearing or something back in the end of the t case cause these multiple problems??

I would bleed to clutch again to see if the disengagmemt of the clutch disc is causing the clunking, drain and fill tranny, double check to make sure its not crank walk youre witnessing and check to see if maybe the rubber insert is damaged between the crank pulley. Ive had the rubber completely crack on me at work on a lexus and the crank pulley flew off and went 20 yards after flying by my leg at 3000 rpm. Also did you get your flywheel resurfaced or changed?

Chingpo05 I already bled the clutch system and drain/filled tcase and tranny. Flywheel was resurfaced. I cracked the original rubber balancer when i was putting it back on. Thats why its hard to believe its the harmonic balancer. Im not exactly sure what crank walk is? Would that better considered the crank shaft actually wiggling around? Could you explain more? The clunking seems to be coming from the rear out put of the transfer case.

Sorry it took so long for me to answer. Crank walk is when you crank has to much play bc if worn thrust washers, which btw is a bearing, and it causes your whole drive assembly to shift back and forward. This can shift alot of motion into your transfer case and could be the clunk you are hearing when shifting, releasing, depressing the clutch pedal. Its common in high mileage standard cars and is just one possibility. You say you hear the clunking towards your rear so i may be your rear end bearings going out of spec.

To see if you have alot of crank walk have someone press and depress on the clutch while the car is running and observe to see if the crank shift back and forth. If you can clearly see it shifting then more than likely your thrust bearings are screwed.
