Well, where to start. I posted a little over a month ago about my cupholder lights not working, and there were some very astute comments made about the fact that they would likely not go out at the same time, and to check the connections, which I did, and they seemed fine. Since then, I have seen those lights work exactly twice, randomly, and I cannot seem to reproduce it.
My radio has had odd issues since I bought the truck a year ago. Several times the display has turned off, so I can hear the music but have absolutely no control over it.
Several weeks ago, my rear wiper blade wouldn't work, and neither would the rear washer fluid. The rear window was all the way up. I came out about an hour later to see if I could find any problems, and although the switch in the car would roll the window up and down, the one-press auto feature would not work. I restarted the car several times, and voila, everything began working again.
Last night, I was leaving the house, and my dad noticed that my driver's side headlight was out, a Silverstar which I replaced less then a year ago. We removed the bulb, it didn't look to be burnt out, and reseated it. The light still didn't go on, but after turning them off and on a few times, it turned back on, and has been working ever since. I replaced a driving light and a rear turn signal in the same week over the summer after they stopped working, and I am wondering now if they were also possibly related.
Sorry for the huge post, but I am stumped as to what could cause this. Talked to a service tech at Toyota yesterday when my dad was looking at a Highlander, and he basically said none of it sounded familiar, and there was no common problem he could think of. I'm guessing that is probably the best answer I will get, but wanted to see if anyone else had any opinions?
