I'd love to see pictures of the 6th seat. I'm looking for ideas. How did you bolt it in?
I wish I had the time to get this build caught up.
I used mounting plates riveted under the body pan. I found them through a shop that sells seat belts for restoration/ hotrod projects.
I live up the road in La Vergne but work in Smyrna.

It has been awhile since I posted in my build thread. I wish I had kept up with it a little better when I was actually building the truck. From here on out, this will likely be updated with wheeling pictures and the occasional updates to my build. For now I'm going to add the 3rd row seat install that so many have asked about in the past.

Back in 2012 I installed a 6th seat in the cargo area of my 2001 4Runner. It was installed so that we could accommodate all 4 kids in the T4R. It is definitely a seat that only children under 5' tall can sit in. I decided to use a single bucket seat. I bought a front passenger side bucket out of a 2nd gen 4Runner that I found at a Toyota scrapyard. I would've used one from a 3rd gen to match better, but there were none available at the time. I was able to use the rear OEM brackets, but had to have new front brackets made and welded on the front. I also installed a 3-point seatbelt (using a left rear passenger belt from a 3rd gen) in the D-pillar.
I mounted the seats using anchor plates from Juliano's Hot Road Parts. The seatbelt was also anchored with one of the above anchor plates and a Pillar Bracket in the D-pillar.
I originally bolted the seatbelt buckle to the floor with an anchor plate, but later moved it to the seat's left rear bracket.
Pictures:
Anchor plates were riveted to the floor so they remain in place when the seat or seatbelt is removed.
I didn't do the best job of fitting the panel hole to the seatbelt. Trial & error.

Black SR5 with bedliner black stock grille.......not me.
I have a dopplerganger though, seen him around Smyrna a few times, still not a sport.
There are at least 3 black on black 4runners in the area with good size offroad tires and other modifications.

Cool, That is right up next to my parents, they live on Weakly. I'll have to check it out. Is it owned by anyone....what kind of area is it. I'dhate to get in trouble with the local 5-0

I don't think its private property. With it being so close to the lake, I would assume the Corps of Engineers owns it.
It used to be an old boat ramp but it got shut down. Next time you are visiting your parents, id check it out. Its the closest/best option we have for Nashville.

When I bought the 883s, I did not have any extra weight up front. They were a little stiff. But, I lived with it because I knew I would soon add the extra weight of skids, front bumper and winch. I'm very pleased.
Holler at me when you're ready to hit the trail. I love being out there and meeting other Toyota enthusiasts.
I really need to update the build thread. I'm behind by about 2 years. Although, not much has changed since. But, I've got a lot of wheeling pictures to add. Here are a few from my most recent trip to Adventure Off-Road Park in South Pittsburgh, TN.

I've got the same tires and I love them. Good looking 4runner. I'm ready to see the 6th seat as well
Thanks for the compliments.
I actually have removed the 6th seat long term now that we have the GX. Any camping or adventure trips with the whole family will be in the GX.

I only took one video on the trail ride to Adventure Off-road Park in December with [MENTION=88967]TNRunner99[/MENTION] & [MENTION=94360]TNrunner01[/MENTION]. This was a trail that wasn't really. It came to a deadend near the top. We had a fun day.
The next outing will have video from 2 sources... iPhone 6+ and a Gopro Hero4. Can't wait!
