got accident..T.T

The Insurance company will repair this car?
What do you guys think?

Ouch, what did you hit or get hit by? I guess that's how mine would look like in that situation. Bummer man, sorry to see that. Hopefully you and any passengers (if any) weren't hurt.
 
oooohhhh!!! Just seeing that make me want to cry man. Is the Chassie damage in anyway. I would ask for the insurance company to total it. Hope things workout for you.:sobbing:
 
I'm impressed how the 4runner took the damage. All of it seems isolated to the front clip and from the pictures it doesn't look like it penetrated the cab area.

Looks like a new radiator, AC core, some engine components and a whole lot of sheetmetal will need to be replaced. Looking at the frame rails, it loooks pretty straight. although, what is that on the center of the front bumper in the 1st pic?

Hope you, your passengers and everyone involved came out ok though.

Ouch, that is rough to look out. Sorry to see your truck that way. I just hope that you and your passengers are alright. The thing that amazed me is that the entire driver side seems to be in perfect shape. Also, the hood was just folded back like it was a piece of paper. I would try getting the truck totaled, but I don't think it will happen. Do you have any pictures of what it looks like under the hood? From the pictures you posted, the damage doesn't looks like anything that can't be repaired.
 
i hit a toyota Sienna. i was on 30~40 mph.
but it seems like a Sienna was fine(didnt crushed like mine) & no one got a hurt.
and im going to ask for insurance company to total my car..
i think i got bad luck on this car.
changed side window $250 & rear window $600(someone break it) T.,T

A Sienna, really? Are you sure you don't mean a Sequioa? Was it a lifted mini-van? Wow, that just seems odd that a Sienna could cause all the damage that high, on an SUV! Also your 4Runner took more damage then the Sienna going 30-40 mph??

I guess I never really took a look at the Sienna's up close. Are they big? I don't want to sound like I don't believe you hit a Sienna, you've had a rough enough time, but a Sienna?! Wow! :bugeye:
 
I assume you were braking hard for the impact? From the pics, you probably submarined under the van....meaning the softest part of your truck hit that strongest part of her bumper. If your car was level hitting the sienna, the outcome would be very very different. If they had passengers in 3rd row seat, then they are VERY lucky you hit the way you did.

How in gods name can that deep gouge in the top of the bonnet have been caused from hitting a mini van? Have you any photos of the mini van.

I rear ended a Honda a while back at my truck made toast of the Honda rear at 15mph. The truck came out with a few scratches and no dents.

Dumbstruck!

He said he was going 30-40mph. So I bet his truck would've took quite a nose dive when he slammed on the brakes. That would cause the front of his truck to dip pretty low while hitting the Sienna.

BTW.....the damage isn't all that high. The top half of his bumper is ripped off. Our bumpers aren't that high when you think about it compared to a Sienna. Factor in the nose dive, and you get what he has.
 
The front end of cars are designed to crumple far more than the typical rear end. Also, he didn't impact with the bumper...the only real supports up there are the radiator support, fenders and hood. The 4runner did it's job absorbing all the impact force. Crumpling is a good thing.

Hopefully there is no damage to the motor. While the picture looks bad, it is really all sheetmetal that just bolts back in. Good luck.
 
Yeah I didn't even think about the nose dipping down when braking hard like that. I just couldn't picture it in my head. I guess the wheel was jerked to the left a little bit so the passenger side took most of the impact.

Not to change the subject but I was impressed by the ABS in our trucks. I was towing my 4-wheeler a few months ago down a fairly steep hill right after it finished raining. The guy in front of me stopped quick and I slammed on my brakes throwing me into a skid right at him. Even though I was skidding downhill I still managed to turn to the right and manuever the 4Runner in between a telephone pole and tree. No damage to anyone else, or myself. That really made me appreciate ABS.
 
Probably a write-off. Good reason to lift a 4R and time for ARB to bring out those steel bumpers. The impact missed the bumper and crumple zone completely and that is why there is so much damage.

Just imagine if he would have ARB bumper... I think in that scenario he would smash rear bumper of Sienna up to the second row without damaging 4Runner. :)
