Wow, what a rust monster.
Hey, I have an 89...thought it was an 88, but the title says 89. It came with an extra wiper/headlight switch that had the intermittent wiper feature. On the column is an 84-88 wiper control that does not seem stock.
So, does the 89 have the intermittent wiper feature and do you or anyone know the part number?
On top of that...it looks like I'll have 2 84-88 wiper/headlight switches available for sale. One from an 87 and the one I will be pulling off the 89 as it seem like the 87 style.

Switched all oils to synthetics. Mobil 1 engine oil, trans and transfer case to Redline MT-90 and both diffs to Royal Purple 75-90.
Trans shifts like butter now and it also picked it up to 20.5mpg. A bit expensive but the shift feel alone was worth it to me.

man that thing is clean, nice find! do me a favor and put a TOUGH undercoating on that thing so it won't look like your old one in 2 years!

BTW, what does a pristine runner like that go for if you don't mind me askin?
Thats impressive, i use to run all synthetic as well and i recorded a slight increase in mpg.

When I bought my old one it had 222k miles and was already very rusty, just got worse (yes way worse) over the years.
No need for undercoating, it will be in a heated garage over the winter.
After buying it, having it shipped to me and getting the paint touched up, new decals, fluids/etc I have about 10k into it.

Talk about working both ends of the "OMG" spectrum! That rust-bucket was probably the original inspiration for the whole OMG abbreviation, for all the wrong reasons, while your current rig qualifies for how unbelievably clean and pristine it looks. You and CoB have two rigs that would look right at home in a period-piece movie from the 80's, sitting in a Toyota dealer's showroom as if new. Very nice!
