When I moved into my apt in Los Angeles, there was a very specific clause in the lease about 'working on vehicles' and there was a lot of very clearly defined language about how the lease would be terminated if I was caught working on things.
So any work I wanted to do was on the street, which was a REAL pain as I would be working with all of my tools out on the sidewalk and would have to go pee or something and would have to pack everything up and go inside, then come back outside and lay everything back out again.
Ugh.
I did get around the 'two car' rule as they didnt have anything written into the lease about motorcycles. It VERY clearly stated only TWO cars per tandem space. I had two cars...and 6 motorcycles.
My manager carefully approached me one day about it and he knew there was nothing in the lease about it. I told him I had two cars parked in my spots and nothing was over the white lines that designate the spot.....
