History - 2003 Limited, V8 w/ XREAS
Installed- Pro Comp 285x70/17 Extreme MT's
Spidertrax hub-centrix 1.25 spacers
So my balls finally dropped and I decided to make my truck what it was intended to be....a truck. Originally I was going to get the Bilstein 5100 front and rear, coils etc. but because of the XREAS that route was no longer possible so I went with the Daystar kit and OME coils in the rear. The coils in the rear are the strongest ones available because I know at a later time I'm going to be adding a rear tire carrier so I wanted to plan ahead. What I got was 2.5 (maybe 3?) in back and 2.5 up front. As you can see in the pictures there was quite a bit of trimming of the wheel well liner and some minor trimming on the bumper. Front mud flaps are removed.
I got everything done last Thursday and took it to CA the next day on Friday. I put 500 miles on them and I have zero complaints. Noise level was obviously a tad more than what I had before which were BFG's 265x65x17 but surprisingly it was not bad at all. The ride quality is unbelievable with the Daystar/XREAS combination. Next up will be to replace the hood and get a Sport hood with scoop then when the time comes the rear tire carrier.
