I don't know yet. I'm not sure how easily it will come off being I used a 3M adhesive promoter before installing it ( I really didn't want it to come off) and I don't want to ruin that piece or the bumper.

I'm kicking around the idea of selling the whole bumper including the TRDP garnish though........

The bumper is finished for now. Whenever the winch shows up and I have some more free time, I'll install that.

I also did one other minor mod today. I actually almost forgot to post about it.

I don't know why toyota did this but they cover up the radiator cap with plastic. I would like to be able to check the antifreeze without popping out a bunch of plastic retainers. So today I took a 4" hole saw and cut out a piece to allow access to the radiator cap.

I also had time to go adjust the new LED lights where I wanted them and I took some night shots.

Low beam only.

Low beam with the fog lights.

With the LED light bar on.

All on except the high beams.

It's aluminum, very light but this thing is stout!

I might. Although, the TRD garnish is stuck on pretty good so I may sell the whole bumper.

I really like the look of your rig, I think it has the good balance of having the rugged look without being too much. I think the lift/wheel/tire combo is perfect in regards to beefiness. I can't wait to chart my own progress along the way!

Thanks! We have thoroughly enjoyed it so far. It's definitely been a slow process to get it where it's at today.

It just turned 70k today. Little quick snow shot.

Took a quick trip up Mt. Taylor tonight with the wife just to see some deeper snow and take a few pictures.

Right after I took these pictures, things got a little interesting. I figured I could back up in my tracks a little then bust forward through the snow. I was wrong. As soon as I started to back up we broke through the not so frozen crust and sunk into the mud below. I broke out the Tred traction mats and dug a little but I just couldn't get the half worn KO's to grab on to them. With the 4runner basically sitting on the frame it was time to brake in the new Smittybilt winch. The new Smitty absolutely paid for itself tonight as it easily pulled the 4runner from the hole we were in. All in all, it was a pretty fun little trip and definitely a reminder of how fast the situation can change.

I forgot my tree saver up there so I went up the next day to retrieve it and surveyed where we were stuck. Definitely dragging the bottom once we fell through the crust.

Sorry, I didn't see that. Pelfreybilt powdercoated it white for us. Now, they normally don't powdercoat anything but black but through miscommunication, misunderstanding, and some begging and pleading, they graciously powdercoated it white. As for fog lights, I'm running some Apex Fabworks cubes in amber. They seem to work pretty good but I will probably swap them at some point for some Baja Design or Rigid DOT fogs.

Thanks for the compliment! The Compustar system works great. The best feature is the Dronemobile app. The system has been in for over 2 years now and so far, I haven't had any issues (knocks on wood nightstand).

The quality of the Pelfrey powder coat is pretty good and matches perfect. I'm not sure exactly what color it is but I can probably find out.

Again, Pelfreybilt only offers black powder coat on their bumpers. This was a oversight, miscommunication, misunderstanding, whatever you want to call it between myself and their sales manager that promised me a white bumper. I honestly was just going to have it shipped raw and I was going to take it to a powder coat company in Albuquerque that I've used many times but Pelfrey's manager said they could just coat it for me so I went with that. Satin Pelfrey called and explained the situation but graciously agreed to powdercoat it white this time. This is after they had already coated it black. A huge inconvenience and cost to them but they completely delivered on what they sold me. They definitely get an A+ on customer service! I'm sure Pelrey's manager is squared away on what he can and can't promise by now though.

FWIW, Satin Pelfrey's 4runner also has a white bumper on it so I'm guessing they used the same color on mine.

One thing lacking is the instructions. I learn by visual and there's not much if any of that in that instructions. Where do all these parts go? I'm at a loss and won't know till I rip the old bumper off

I agree, they seem really nice. I met them a couple years ago at the Overland Expo and they seemed cool but very committed to offering stuff for our Toyotas.

The overall installation of the bumper is pretty straightforward. You can shoot me a PM if you hit a roadblock with something.

If you plan on installing this bumper by yourself, get some longer bolts and run them through the nuts welded on the back of the frame horns. You can use them like studs and will help position the bumper. Also, pick up some nuts so you can tighten them down.
