My 3rd gen: new lift and tires (pic heavy)

Made some changes to the 99 runner in the past month lemme know what yall think.

Before:
2.5" daystar spacers, 285/75 sport king a/t

After:
OME 883's, OME n91 front shocks, OME 891, Bilstein rear shocks, toytec 1" diff drop, 16x8 procomp alloys, 305/70/16 cooper stt.

Let me know what yall think, 2inch BL and magnaflow is going on next month and bumpers and sliders are in the near future.

Good looking rig. I just got the exact same color/year and have been getting into shape for some off road adventure, but I've been trying to decide if I should lift it or not. Not really much of a decision anymore, lifts going on for sure now.

Yeah how does that ride. I was thinking the same thing. I have heard good things about the 883's but I hear they are really stiff.

thanks for the comments guys, the ride in my opinion is a lot better than it was with the spacers i love the way it rides. the 883's im glad i got those because its not that stiff at all especially with the new shocks and once i get some camburg UCA's it will be great! as for the tires, i am glad i got 305's they do not rub at all until i am fully flexed.

Are you sure there is no body lift. The before pictures looks like more than just a 2.5 suspension lift. 305's would not clear the inside of the front fender with just that. Anyway, looks sweet, ....., removing the running boards makes a big difference in looks as well. Good job.

Some of you guys are kind of freaking out about the 305s and no body lift. They are less than 1" wider in total width and the same basic height as the 285/75s that many of us run. Also the 883/891 spring combo is probably good for 3-3.5" of lift. Once the springs settle and if he ever takes it offroad I'm sure he will experience some rubbing.

If you look at the closeup flex pic of the rear tire you can see that there is no gap between the fender well and frame rail, and obviously no gap guards installed, so yes he is sure there is no body lift.

Are you running any trim packers in the rear with the 891's? Do you have any pics of the 4Runner sitting level instead of flexed with the new 883/891's?

Here's my thoughts... The problem with running 305s is in the rear. The fronts don't rub unless it's at full lock and flexed out (that's if you remove some fender lining and hammer the pinch welds flat). Even then it's only sometimes. You also have to run 1" wheel spacers in the front (or get some rims with < 3.75" back spacing).

The problem is the rear fenders will sit on top of the last .5" of tire when flexed, preventing it from fully stuffing. Not only that, but the weight of the body rests on top of the tires and it acts like a brake on the rears. Look at the 9th pic on nAstyT4R's post - the tire hits the fender before the axle hits the bump stops. I ditched my 305s and got 285s now and don't have any rubbing issues (although I did have to remove my rear mudflaps - the last rub spot).
