haha thanks Sebastian i live in Massachusetts so it was not a continuous drive :)

I loved the remoteness of Labrador Newfoundland and Labrador.

When are you coming out west?

haha i've been to all the 49 states except HI.. just not in the 4runner. Definitely have plans for the west coast in the 4R. When i was in KS i used to drive all the time to the west, now that i moved to East coast its tough to plan. I have a big Arctic trip in plans for next year.

Awesome pics! It just amazes me the color the icebergs have. It's almost as if they are glowing. That area is definitely on my bucket list.

Thank you. Yes they have that Glacial Ice color and they are very Dense/heavy too. June/July is the best time i guess. A local was saying it takes around 2 yrs for an iceberg to travel from Greenland to Newfoundland area.

So you went up to Newfoundland in July? I am just wondering when because it looks like a perfect time of the year to go, but maybe September-October would not be bad either, just anytime before the winter sets in. I like the icebergs, so I want to see them.

Sept may be too late for the Berg's they start melting i guess. Not really sure though.

Tip of the Iceberg is true. Couldn't believe how huge it was under the water.

Here starts the 1700 mile journey back home via Goose Bay and Labrador City.
Normally we wouldn't have attempted this remote road during night, but its a 4R so we are good to go.

Are you saying they loan you a satellite phone?

I did a search an it seems it is part of some rural Canadian road program or something.

Is there some post/sign that says "get your phone here" before travelling further along?
