Location has a lot to do with price. Why all the engine work?

I just bought almost the identical truck, buy 99 with 172K. Otherwise very similar truck but mine has the original motor and heads.

Engine shake that turn out to be gunk up valves from bad gas. Valves werent sealing right . I did the whole rebuild with my cousin/uncle who both are ASE mechanics

Im located in Texas

Heres a ****ty instagram pic:

Where are the Sport wheels?

Sucks about the engine. Sounds like the PO didn't keep up on oil changes. Look at my build thread for Tyrone. I posted a picture last week with the valve covers off. 222K miles, motor was ungodly clean.

Oh, and back to your point, I'd say you could get $7,000-$7,500 for it.

Heres my thread when I did some of the work:
http://www.toyota-4runner.org/3rd-gen-t4rs/110648-00-3rd-gen-shakes-idle-running-out-solutions.html

He actually spent a buttload of money on maintenance but he was just getting his wallet raped for repairs. I have like 10k in receipts.

Truck runs so perfect now. Runs even better than my 2004 acura tl 6 speed. No shakes, bad idles or leaks

I see alot of 130k to 240k 4runners for 4k to 8k around craigslist in my area. (HOU, SA, DAL)

I would start at 8k, and it will give you some room to work. Realistically you should be able to get rid of this truck for at least 7500..

Kinda off topic but stay away from an 06 GS 300. 2006 was a bad year for Lexus and Toyota in general. I work at a Lexus/Toyota shop here in Roswell Ga and I see a lot of issues with that year. Chromatic mirrors go out (1300$ part), the VVT-i cam gears have issue at start up(huge job), the valve springs. Seeing transmission problems now....just a friendly warning.
