Since there are so many questions about how different lifts look I figured I'd contribute a few before/after pics of my new shock/spring upgrade.
The primary motivation for my upgrade is because my stock shocks were leaking and the ride has been terrible since I bough the thing 2 months ago. I wanted a subtle lift and some beefier tires, so that's what I did.
I ended up with 99 tall springs up front (AC Delco brand) matched with Bilstein 4600.
Back is OME 906 with Bilstein 5100.
I went with these combos because I wanted to save money, the front combo was only ~$75 for both coils and $80 for each 4600.
Tires are Falken Wildpeak AT3 265/75 r16
Here's the before pic:
And here is the after pic:
The ride is noticeably better. It certainly is no Cadillac, but it handles bumps much better, especially at speed.
One thing I was a little worried about is that the 906 would cause too much rake. Clearly there is not, in fact I would say it sits pretty much level.
To be honest I now would like a little bit more rake so I don't end up getting sag when I haul people and stuff around on trips. I'll be keeping that 10mm rear spacer in mind.
Overall though I like the look and the upgrade was definitely worth it.
