They're still not on. I want to clay, polish and wax it before I put them on. Weather hasn't been great and I've been super busy.

Did you ever get these on? Or do you still have the oem fender flares? P.S. Good build. Talking my girl into a stick instead of auto trans. Last issue to resolve, and I'll let you know.

I feel like a bad parent, haven't done sh*t to it in a while. It filthy from our recent weather, still haven't installed the Addco's, the Bushwacker flares are still sitting in the box and I have a CEL for a bad cat.its so f-ing cold and I've been so busy with work it's kind of fallen by the way side. I'm hoping to dig back into it in the next few weeks here.
Hey did u ever get that bad cat replaced? We have crazier emissions testing than PA does in my county. I had a cobra svt that wouldn't pass no matter what I did so I had to apply for a collector plate just to drive it...

Believe it or not, a can of Seafoam and a bottle of CataClean and a new O2 sensor did the trick. Light out, took it to my buddies shop to hook it up to the sniffer, clean bill of health.
And we do have very similar taste in cars, I've owned 5 Mustangs over the years.

Thanks. I actually had narrowed down my search to this and an e39 540i/6. I owned one of those before and liked it a lot. I was really leaning toward another one, until I drove the e38. There's just no comparison.
I've actually owned a few BMW's over the years, wrenching on them isn't as bad as you would think. But this one actually already had the cooling system and the timing chain guides (and all the other sh*t that goes along with that job) done. I'll probably freshen up the suspension but that's about it. No 760 for me, I despise the newer ones. In my opinion, the e38 and e39 and the two best platforms BMW has ever offered. I bought this more because I'm a car than because it was a BMW.

Gotcha ya, the 38s and 39s are nice. It looks great. My brother just bought a 2002 M5, but it pays that his best friend works at BMW in Greer, SC.

sorry to bring up an old thread but what percent tint did you have on the front windows? im so confused with what we are allowed to go with the front windows. also did you ever get any trouble with an inspection or cops with the tint you had on the 4runner
