My 99' Highlander, 5 speed build

OME 890's to replace my LC springs
Addco sway bars.

Have to take it down a bit for my everyday driving.

No, I decided to keep it. I'm just going to swap cars with my wife when I need to until she gets tired of it. But I am dropping it down a bit too to make it more commuter friendly.

890's arrived yesterday. Addco swaybars will be here soon I hope. I'm going to paint my Tundra 231 calipers tonight or tomorrow too. Then tackle the brakes, springs and sways bars the same day. I think I'm going to spend some time cleaning up the chassis too, give it some paint and undercoating.

Put some work in today.

Installed the 890's
Installed my Tundra 231's
Installed 1" wheel spacers to clear the LC wheels with the bigger brakes
Changed F&R diffs and Trans & Transfer Case with Royal Purple
Oil change
Cleaned up the under carriage and painted it.

All in all, a good day.

Yes sir, looks good. I like the way it looks. But... now I have some other rubbing issues. Nothing bad, I have to trim the front valence just a bit and work on the pinch welds.

Haha, I was trying to justify keeping it. finally just decided "F it, I'm keeping it." LOL Hopefully it'll be a little easier for the wifey to drive now. Believe it or not, it actually handles better and felt a lot safer on the highway with the 890's and NO rear sway bar then it did with the 7.5 wraps WITH the rear sway bar. (pulled the rear sway bar to paint everything, didn't bother reinstalling it since the Addco is en route.)

I feel like a bad parent, haven't done sh*t to it in a while. It filthy from our recent weather, still haven't installed the Addco's, the Bushwacker flares are still sitting in the box and I have a CEL for a bad cat. its so f-ing cold and I've been so busy with work it's kind of fallen by the way side. I'm hoping to dig back into it in the next few weeks here.

Been wondering if you'd put in the sway bars and what you thought. Once I'm confident all my maintenance is solid and I get the paint up to scratch (bad expression), sway bars may be next for me. I'll be watching your progress. Spring's right around the corner!

Spent 8 hours today fitting, trimming and prepping my Bushwacker flares today. Off to the paint shop they go on Monday.

For the record, 90% of people would've bolted them on out of the box and probably would've been okay with the fit. I'm super, super picky about that stuff so I did some major fine tuning to make them fit pretty much factory.

To me this is one of the cleanest/most elegant 3rd gens.
