My coworkers 4Runner vs drunk driver

On his way home from work yesterday afternoon at 5:30, he encountered a GMC Yukon traveling the wrong direction. Four lane highway, and the Yukon was in the left lane. My coworker got as far as he could into the right lane (tall curb), but the guy still hit him. After that, the Yukon went head on with a Honda Accord. Both of the other drivers had to be airlifted to UAB hospital in Birmingham, AL - my coworker was very lucky:

Towed to the yard. His insurance man has already told him it would be totaled. He's there now getting all his stuff out of it, and spent the morning looking at 5th gens.

Not sure exactly what happened. He was out of the office most of the day dealing with all the stuff you have to do after a wreck.

He had just put a brand new set of Michelin on it less than 2 weeks ago :ybrick:

It's pretty obvious your coworker's evasive action is what saved him. The driver's area was not terribly affected. Good driving on his part.

That's unfortunate but good thing he wasn't injured. At least he should be able to take the tires.

looks like he had all his windows down, i can imagine if they were up and glass shattered into his face things may have been worse
