so last night i was driving a bit too fast around a corned and my truck slammed into a high curve and i damaged my bumper and slashed the sidewall on my 285 all terrian t/a's so i went down to order some new tires and i got to thinking maybe now i will finally powdercoat my wheels black like ive been wanting to do for a long time and as for my bumper im gonna start saving for the shrockworks bumper- that thing is just too gorgeous!!!! so although im super bummed about what happenned i was about a few months off from getting new tires anyway and and these new mods will probably set me back $2300 but it be pretty damn sweet when its all done

Shrockworks makes a good product. BFG/AT KO is a great tire too. I plan on getting those when my stock tires wear out. You must have nailed it pretty hard. It has a 3 ply sidewall.

How did it drive with the stock sized spare -- was the ATRAC going crazy?

I doubt it. With the V6, in 2WD mode, you could run a different size on the front without affecting the techno-nannies. in 4WD, I doubt you could do it without somehow disabling the system.

I agree, take the insurance money, sell what parts are left-over on ebay and you will not be that deep in the hole. CBI now has a sweet rear bumper, by the way.
