Hello!
I was wondering if everyone would like to add my Dash Cam install video into the MODS sticky so that others may learn how and do it as well.
It is a cool mod that I think everybody should have. Cost is under $150 bucks and you can watch the video and order everything you need through Amazon with my link here:
Rexing V1 Dash Cam install video
It is the Rexing V1 dash cam that records in 1080p HD and is capable or 24 hour parking monitor with motion detection if you hard wire it as I show you in the video. You can still have it plugged into your cigarette lighter port if you wish instead.
After driving among moronic motorists and almost getting into an accident during every commute, I decided that it was extremely important to have one for insurance purposes in case I was to get hit by an idiot driver. I also think it is great for road rage incidents, which are pretty high in AZ and often deadly. So it is good in case you ever have to use your sidearm to defend yourself. It can also be good to have for interactions with Law enforcement just to make sure your rights aren't infringed, and if they are, it will be documented. (im pro leo , not anti) The camera has audio recording as well of course which can be muted easily. The lcd screen can be turned off while the camera is still recording as well.
If you hard wire the camera you can take advantage of its 24hour parking monitor and motion detection for when your car gets hit in a parking lot while shopping or while at home and your car witnesses an intrusion or vandalism of some sort. The possibilities are endless really, so I think the small cost for a cool gadget to play with is well worth it. Let me know what you guys think or if you know of a better kind of Dash cam.
