My Door Locks Are Possessed

Ok, all of the power lock actuators do work.

Sometimes. The driver and left rear working is like roulette. Sometimes they work with the key fob, sometimes they don't. It's totally random. Sometimes, I have to use the key to lock the doors, as the audible indication and locking decides to not work.

This is totally random and driving me nuts. Anyone else have this issue?

Any chance that the battery in your remote is at the end of its life? Do they all work when you push the lock/unlock button inside the driver's door?

Sometimes they do, sometimes they don't.

The actuators on both passenger doors just stopped working. I can hear the back actuator wanting to do something. what have you found out so far with your issue? Anything that could fix my lock problem?

Permatex Dieelectric grease

My 97 has the RS3000 system - I was having the intermittent problem where when I would push the fob button it would beep sometimes when unlocking and not work at all others, or let out a long beep like when the door is open. I pulled the 3 connectors out of the box under my seat and smeared dieelectric grease on them and plugged them back in - all those problems went away. Just did it today so I am not sure if this is a temporary fix or not.

Believe it or not, my fix was pushing the lock and unlock button repeatedly from the driver's door. Voila! Problem gone.

I guess mine were simply sticking.

These issues all sound like the door lock actuator motors. As they go bad they become hit or miss. Then eventually stop altogether.

Dieelectric grease improved it but...

It still is intermittent...

You have to take your door panel and adjust the door lock cable.. The plastic retention clip maybe broken or out of place.. It does this because there is too much tension on the cable.
