My Evergreen Beast 4runner Build

Quick little thread on my rig! I bought this from the original owner, he was an older man who took very good care of it. Since buying it I have done a complete facelift to it, unlike most t4r owners I am not really into plate bumpers, rock sliders, etc. Instead I am going for a clean yet modified build, i have done most of the regular maintenance on it so it will continue to be the perfect running beast that it is! There are still a lot of things I plan on adding to it in the near future but here she is so far!

No more running boards, added some clear corners and blinkers to it also!

Lift time!

Lift made it look like it skipped leg, so it was time for some new shoes! Also added some trd decals, because race car!

All washed up, also was finally able to find some sr5 flares! Door molding clips are missing though but they will be replaced.

What time is it? Its sport hood time! Also plastidip time...

A few things have happened here. First the sport hood got color matched, second I integrated a 32 inch cree led bar into the bumper, and third I added a roof rack.

Next thing I did was my satoshi mod and headlight retrofits. I had never done them before but I gave it a shot. They both turned out great!

I agree on the "meh." Too many dark colors going on. Darker wheels look better on lighter color bodies. Did you dip the wheels?

Nope they are permanent sadly. But I just ordered brand new rims and tires for it so pics will follow as soon as they arrive!

I liked my curt rack but hated how tall it was, so I took it down to my shop and decided it was time for a change! Turned out great. I also had someone give me a 2000 grille which I like more than my satoshi grille so bye bye went the satoshi! I was able to trade it for the elusive sr5 front mud flaps!

That is a lot of modding for one day. Looks great. In agreement that the black rims don't work. I just am not fan of black rims on any 4runner for that matter.

A member of a 4runner page I'm part of on Facebook gave me a free fatlip bumper which I had been looking for! It took some modifying to make it work but here's pic of the quick mock up.

Haha this is over about a period of 6 months, I have been wanting to do a build thread so I figured I would just get it done.

The fatlip bumper was in a bit of rough shape so I figured I would do some prep work and paint on it. I also decided to bake the blinker housings and some oem corner markers I had so I could pull them apart and paint the inside of the housing! I hated the fact I could still see the gray glue on the corners/ blinkers so I masked them off and painted the borders with the same paint I used on the bumper. It gave it a very clean look, but I do not have any close ups of them at this time

Got the fatlip bumper mounted perfectly and looking good. I also went to Toyota and bought an OEM bug guard for my hood which I am really happy with.

So far here's the transformation! It has gone from very base model to a somewhat better base model haha. I am very pleased with the results though and am very happy with this 4runner overall.

thanks. im due for new tires and those look sick. and im sorry to say im not a potential buyer, i dont think i can make the 2k mile round trip to pick them upound:

Haha that's understandable. 2k miles is a long trip for tires!
