First off, let me say thanks to all who have replied and attempted to sympathize. All of the responses here deserve and get a great deal of gratitude from me. Nothing like the feeling you get from a classy board with members who show another brother some love
I'm 39, she's 36, we've been together a little over two years. Kmvreter was close in his assessment. She drove down to my office last Thursday to confront me after I ended things the previous Monday. Long story short, she ripped off her watch and slammed the truck with it, then grabbed mine and stomped it into 5 pieces and whipped those pieces at the truck. Right next door to my office is a travel agency, the guys saw and heard the entire thing. Totally embarassing.
At this point, I am just content to fix it myself and be rid of her. No charges, no restraining orders, no small claims suits, nothing. I'm financially comfortable (I know, that's not the point) but it's much easier to take that road. It's too bad, she was SO hot

OUCH! I'll bitch slap my gf if she did that! then kick her AZZ to the curb! then I would run over her with the 4R! then call the EMT to hall her azz away . :smash: :goinposta 
come on! just throw it in her a few more times, and do it like a man! no mercy at this point! no relationship, and a damaged 4runner. go for it all! haha. and hell, video it, and send her the only copy, but warn her that there are extra's out there! she will never want another guy again. and from the sounds of it, that is what we all need!
just remember. if they are hott, and still single...they are not right! it just always seems to work that way. atleast you didn't have a pair of panties left in one of your socks for your next gf to find. i had no idea they were there until a buddy of mine tipped me off! sure enough, about 8 months later..the hottest pair she had, tucked up in a sock at the very back of my sock drawer.

Your a very nice person, I would at least press charges for the damage to your ride, with a temper like that I'd feel bad for the next guy and want to teach her a lesson.
But what goes around comes around, I'd put money on it that in some way she will get into an accident or have her car damaged

Sorry to here about the damage to your truck. Your ex obviously never watched the movie "Christine". Everybody knows if you purposely damage someone elses car it will fix itself, hunt you down and take you out . In all honesty though I think you made the right choice. If she was crazy enough to do that then who knows what length she would go to when she was served court papers.

sorry to hear about your problem....but IMO you got off easy. In this world nowadays....you never know what crazy Ex's (boyfriends and girlfriends) would do. Just be thankful you still have your head and I would suggest making sure she doesn't come back.

In all seriousness, now that the initial shock has worn off, I am starting to get pissed every time I see those damn marks on my truck. But, being the mature one, I will simply have it fixed and that will be that. My friend has assured me that absolutely no one will be able to tell, and he's probably right - I've seen his work on many other Toyotas and it's great.
And chillwihll is right - had the tables been turned my ass would still be in jail.

Well, if you ever trade in your 4runner in the future to a dealership, then the dealership will be able to tell easily. No matter how good your friend is. So, resale value may go down.
Your ex-gf just can't stand the thought of having some other girl riding shotgun in your 4runner!

yeah thats sucks, the dealerships use this weird laser machine that can tell if the paint is the same all over, I saw some guy bring in a Eclass and the salesman was like you had the entire passenger side repainted and the guy was like how did you know it looks perfect
