My New 07 Ultimate 4Runner SE in the Mojave

Here are pics of my Special Order 2007 4Runner SE in the Mojave desert. Bought it from Carson Toyota from the very best Fleet Director in the business Dianne Whitmire. When all the other dealers said my 4Runner would not be possible I turned to this Awesome site and found out about Dianne through dpiddy's post. Thanks to you guys my dream came true. My 3rd 4runner SE ended up being Exactly what I wanted. Check it out!

Congratulations Man, and welcome to the club! I'm jealous of your steering wheel. Wish I had audio controls when I got mine, I asked for it from Toyota of Riverside. But couldn't get it without getting the factory JBL, which I did not want. Oh, well. Sweet rig man. Now get that thing dirty!!:driving:

Congratulations! Glad to hear Carson and Dianne worked out for you and glad I could help out! Your 4RNNR looks awesome (and I'm not just saying that because it's similar to mine). Isn't it cool to have little features here and there that leave other 4RNNR owners saying, "I didn't know you get could that!! How'd you get that on an SE??!! Didn't you have to wait 8 months!"

Just Curious, Im not trying to be rude cause I really like your Truck!! But what exactly makes your 4Runner Special Order? I have most of the stuff you have, I mean I don't have Nav or The Led License Plate. But I have most of the stuff you do standard straight from the factory. Is it the color, or the Nav? Just wondering! Great looking Runner!!

I think he just means that the specific combination of options he wanted was not available in his (or possibly any) region- so he special ordered the truck to get it exactly how he wanted it.

I did the same to get a V8 4WD Sport with a sunroof and without a rear spoiler.

But what exactly makes your 4Runner Special Order?

Toyota packages their vehicles rather specifically (at least in southern California and on the 4Runner). If you want an option that can't be easily dealer- or self-installed, like the stock Nav system, it's a special order vehicle.

Installing an aftermarket Nav would be perfectly acceptable but Toyota's system includes the 4-disc changer, AUX input, backup camera, and Bluetooth... kinda hard to find in an aftermarket package that looks clean and is fully integrated. It's worth the special order and 3-month wait in my opinion (and don't let other dealers tell you it will take 6+ months!).
