My new (new to me) 4Runner

This will be replacing my 1991 Toyota pickup daily driver. Bought it over the Labor Day weekend as a CPO'd vehicle and I'm lovin it! Its a 2005 Sport Edition. It didn't come with running boards or mud guards so those will be my 1st mods. :bonk: but it did come with some cross drilled / slotted rotors up front. Was this an option? I'll try to get pics of the rotors this week.

My plans for it are:

LED tails
HID projectors swapped into halogen headlight assembly
Running boards
mud guards
LED dome lights
OEM skidplate
HID fogs
Full Nav/stereo system w/ backup camera
Rear bumper reflector modded into a foglight

Drilled and/or slotted rotors were never a factory option. It must've been upgraded by the previous owner.

If you plan to off-road, get rock sliders instead of running boards. A lot better protection for your rig. You could try posting a "want to buy" in the Classified sub-forum. There might some members who have pulled their running boards and mud flaps off.

Congratulations! The Sport Editions looks great in white. I'm kind of suprised that a non stock 4Runner could be sold as a Toyota CPO. The running boards and mudgaurds were standard equipment and there is no factory drilled rotors. Maybe you could raise a stink with Toyota and have them give you the running boards and mudgaurds for free. As for me I'm happy to not have running boards and prefer the look.

No, not trying to blind anyone. In fact, I'm trying to prevent myself from getting rear ended when driving in the fog. I would only use it in dense fog. My Benz has it as well as many European cars. Basically, its just a brake light (35 watt) bulb that is constantly on with the flick of a switch. It will be brighter than your basic tail light so that other drivers could see you in the fog/rain. I'll only install it on the driver's side.

o i c. That's one of the reasons why i got my Hitch Step w/ light so that other drivers can see. If they can't see my taillights and hitch step light, then they be sorry to rear end me b/c my hitch step light is solid steel.
