My New SUV!

Thai, stick around for Ten more years :awais: Otherwise, when I got my fixed 4Runner back who is going to help me answer my question? :D :D

BTW, your new rig both has a luxury class and tough look. Way to go....but don't go too far...okie.:awais:

No problem...i will be postwhoring for a long time on this forum! :D

Thanks for the compliments! Hopefully, it will be as reliable as a 4runner! Ahh, hell, i just hope that it will be half as reliable as a 4runner! That will be good enough for me! With Mercedes, you just don't know anymore....:(

Peter you've got it backwards, the Disco belongs to his brother, the Benz belongs to Thai.
Wow, getting the Benz is great. When I first saw the picture, the Benz part of the picture did not come through. I thought what the heck is Thai doing with a Disco.

Getting rid of the M3 & 4Runner is a BIG step, enjoy the Benz.

Very, very nice. I see a lot of them (comparitively) around my parts and I comment on them everytime I see one. I get complete extreme reactions from my passengers.....some love it and some hate it....so, I would agree with your assessment of it being a love it or hate it vehicle. I personally love it and think most other people would learn to love it if they knew a little more about it. Were you set on black the whole time or did it just work out that way? I think it was a great choice.

Thanks. Yeah, the G feels really solid and heavy. It weighs as much as my other brother's LX470 despite not being any bigger than my old 3rd gen 4runner!:eek2: There's a lot of heavy metal in the thing!

Of course, all that weight does not come free. Geez, my fuel economy is just plain horrible. In city, i get about 8-10 mpg...while highway is about 14.5 mpg. This is using PREMIUM fuel!:( Literally, if i drive in a lot of stop-n-go traffic, then i see the fuel needle going down every other minute!:sobbing: I am Iraq's #1 customer!:p

A guy from my area "Brad Pitt" bought a silver one and decided he didn't like silver and wanted a black one so he gave the silver one to his wife "Jennifer".

Thanks! Yup, half of my friends think the G is cool...the other half finds it butt ugly! :D

Actually, it is really hard to get the color that you want because not all MB dealers have one on their lot. Ordering one = buying at MSRP (aka being screwed). My MB dealer had a gray one on the lot for a long time. I testdrove it back in May. Last month, they called me back to tell me that they can give me a great deal on it. When i finally went to see them, they had just received a black G500 32 days ago. The gray G had over 90 miles on odometer. The new black one had only 26 miles. I asked if i can get the same deal on the black one...and amazingly, they agreed! :)

At first, i was a bit hesitant about black because of maintenance issues. But, IMO, black on the G is really nice...and Brad Pitt thinks so too! :D After having it for a week, black is OK...probably because i am not too anal about keeping it clean. What i worry the most about is when i take it off-road and scratch the paint. Thus, i need a beater (aka 1st gen 4runner). The G will be used for long trips with off-roading (such as Big Bend Nat Park, Utah, etc.).

Brad Pitt has good taste! I tell my friends to call me the "Asian Brad Pitt" without the good looks, money, and of course, Jennifer. :D

BTW, i heard that Jennifer Aniston is selling (or sold) her silver G wagon. I heard that she sold it on Ebay or something.

I live in Springfield Missouri where Brad grew up and his family still lives here. So he shows up sometimes. I also workout with a guy that is a good friend of his and went through school with him. That's how I hear these things, when someone mentions cool vehicles it sticks in my mind.

Damn, i knew the IRS would catch up to me someday! Well, i got the G500 for about $1000 below invoice (after trade-in). I make enough to support it...but it's tight. (It also doesn't help my bank account that i change car a bit too often.):D

Thai, since your an MD, just use it on a couple of trips to some desolate village there in Texas to do some charitable "life saving" work and then you can write the G500 off your taxes. :)

How many birthmarks do you have?
Do you put the left pantleg first or the right?

Where do you live?

Whats your credit card number? Expiration date and address?

I remember talking to Middle School students about my job on career day and one student asked how much I make. I answered kind of like you did, which the students didn't seem to staisfied with my reply. Young people are more curious with things like this.

I don't think it is isolated to the young. I think they just worry less about what comes out of their mouth. Plus, it's not like they are going to compare the answer with their allowance.

Sweet ride, many G55 riding around my area, well not many but every now and then when I see 1 it's a black or silver G55, they look good with Yokohama AVS tires:D

Thai, what kind of doctor are you and do you have your own office
