Thanks man Last trip was no change from that. 80% of the trucks were Toyotas!

anyways here are some pics from last weekends trip up into the mountains , On friday we drove the easiest track to the mountain hut Setur. The friday trip was 160 km and took about 8 hours. On the Saturday we took a short trip to Kerlingafjöll huts , About 30km in rough terrain , that trip took about 5 hours , after that there was a bbq and fun at the Setur hut ,On the Sunday was the go back home day. Me and guys on 5 trucks decided to take the hardest and highest trail home . The trails highest spot is at 960m. [/b]

Back at hut Setur

On the saturday there was a "party" at the hut and on the Sunday the group divided into two parts. The majority of folks took the same route back (red on map) me and 5 cars decided to drive a hard way to town

highest part , it mountain climb took about 3 hours

White out on the trail , relied entirely on the navigation computer

Then later we got hit by this snow storm

then 3 hours later it stoped

Back at the gravel roads at 2am.
the trip from Setur hut took about 13 hours , the trail is around 70km long

Took a short trip tonight with my friend , he has a 99 Hilux IFS on 38" tires
Went to the montain tundra 20km from Reykjavik.

Some new pics from last weekend's trip. 3 days and 300 miles drive in to the mountains.

on the friday night around 7pm we went out but lost one truck to a transmission trouble.

Found bigger 4Runner than mine

Then we drove on deep into the highland

there i broke my front damper

We arived at the hut around 1am that night

On the Saturday morning we woke up to a bad weather and poor visibility.

1986 Aerostar with a GM LS1 and on 38"

Jeep on 39,5 iroc

80 series Diesel Land Cruiser on 46" MT

On the drive tire pressure system

no visibility

On the way up we had problems with some trucks and had to turn back to the hut for some rapairs.

we stayed at the hut another night

On Sunday morning we went on back home on 15 trucks.

We arived home at around 10pm on the sunday night.

Went on a cross country trip last weekend , about 500miles off road in snow and on the top of europe biggest glacer.

On Thursday evening we drove to the mountains, staying in a mountain hotel for the night. Woke up on friday morning in this beautiful weather

Speed was around 75kmh (50mph) on the snow

Arriving at the highest building on the glacer Grímsfjall. The houses are located 1,724 metres (5900ft) above mean sea level.

Arriving at the hut around 8 pm , just to eat and then go to bed early
