Starting to weld the axle back together, only using 3 batterys , starter cables and two welding sticks.

The 80 series back on its wheels and off we go ,the weather got bad from there.

Another problem , this one lost all its wheel bolts

There the clock was around 10pm and the view beceme very bad, and cold , outside temputure was around minus 22 Celsius (-7.6 Fahrenheit)

back to civilization on the sunday mornng after around 24hours of straight driving

Just read this entire thread (should probably be working). It just doesn't get more bad-ass than that. Welding a solid axle back together in freezing temps, miles from anything. As a native Southern Californian, I'm impressed by all aspects of what you guys do out there. :cheers:

Man am I glad you bumped this up.
Couple weeks ago I was telling my old man about how you guys roll out there, and realized I never got a chance to give you some props. Hell most of my friends / people I've talked to about wheeling have herd your story about the broken axle being welded with battery's and jumper cables.

Love the rigs and the true butt f%$k nowhere adventure.
