It's sad that this is my first post in quite some time. I would prefer it be the update of me installing mods that I purchased (Japanese Fuel Door, Stainless Door Sills, etc.) over the winter, but nope... this is what it's going to be... I came out of work tonight, walked over to the "Employee Only" lot to discover that my precious baby was hit while I was away 
I've always feared this would happen! It's totally unreal. No note, no nothing, just a blemished 4Runner, see picture below.
Pretty much needless to say, I was pretty upset when I discovered the damage. I'm always VERY (overly) cautious as to where and how I park. I baby my 4Runner to the max. I made sure to take an end spot and hug the outer line to give me space from those who can't park/drive. I left a little over two feet of distance, YEAH, TWO FEET, see picture below, between my passenger side and the yellow parking line. Sadly, this space wasn't enough to protect her. Unreal!
On top of that happening, I had to go wake up the "Security Guard" who was sleeping in the Security box for that lot. Wonderful, I feel so safe knowing that security is sleeping at 2a.m., downtown, on a Friday night, wonderful, right? I know it's highly unlikely that he would've helped catch whoever hit my vehicle and took off, but still, c'mon!
To make matters worse... I had to wait about 20 minutes for a Police Officer to come because I wanted to file a report. The officer came, and the first thing he did was wipe his finger against my 4Runner and said, and I quote: "look it's wiping right off, it looks like chalk" Yeah... that's my paint and clear coat, you F***! He goes, it doesn't even look like a car hit it, and said, and again I quote: "You're on your own, buddy" and refused to write a report. What a lazy piece of $***! I was so angry! I couldn't believe he stood in front of me and had the nerve to tell me that it didn't even look like it was hit. Seriously!? What? Did the magical car damage fairy descend from the skies, come down and smudge my paint and grind the edge of my wheel well down to black? What a D***! I can't even remember what I said to him. I was pretty angry. He just acted like it was nothing. I mean, come on, it's only a 2 year old vehicle, and in MINT shape besides the new blemish. I think it's very obvious that someone attempted to back in and TOTALLY misjudged and back their bumper into my wheel well. My guess is a truck's bumper - judging from the height of where the damage is.
After the weekend, I'll have to get an estimate on it. Hopefully it's not too bad. I'm sure some of it will buff out, but it'll need a little paint where it was initially hit.

My deductible is $250, which sucks (but I suppose it could be worse) 'cause I'm TRYING to save money right now for some things (no, not 4Runner stuff, I actually want a new bedroom set and mattress), and hits like this do not help any! Anyways, I will update this when I get my estimate.
