i will also be running the light racing UCA's in front along with a diff drop, adjustable panhard bar, wheel spacers, and a 1" body lift from Toytec

I am mainly posting this to see if anyone has a setup like this with the all pro coils and the fox coilovers. Sorry if this is a repeat, i did a search and couldnt find much.

Ive heard the Fox Coilovers ride really stiff...

I'm running the ALL pro lower links and love them. Def all around good choices. Why not go long travel?? Looks like your willing to spend some CAISH :)

Those links look nice, $500 isn't too bad for a set of upper and lower links like those. Wonder how well their "Lower Mount Plate" protects? I think I'm going to modify the frame slightly down the future to eliminate issues with the forward lower links, some ideas I have tucked away in my brain...

I can't speak for Fox truck suspensions but I wouldn't put anything but Fox shocks on my dirt bikes back in the day.

ya i have heard they are stiff from a few people. Tha is why i am a skeptic. I think i will just save my money and get the toytec ultimate, then have the extra for my bumper and some skids.

Sounds like a solid plan. BlairB is running Fox suspension. The diff drop is probably unecessary though.

i am bumping this because i am still soooo torn.

i am not going to go with the long arm kit because of the extra cost, but i am really torn between the toytec ultimate, the radflo with the 2.5"s, the icon stage 2 with the extended travel, fox coilovers..... so many options and i am ready to order....

I'll offer my opinion here. First, if you're looking to make the investment and get the most out of your suspension, I don't think the TT Ultimate should even be in the discussion. That coil-over is just a built up Bilstien 5100, while your other options are 2.5" shock bodies, that are rebuild-able and custom valve-able.

Now if you wanted to save money on suspension, like your earlier statement, then yeah, go TT Ult.

Now as far as the other choices go, it seems more a matter of preference. I don't want to say something as simple as "pick the color you like", but basically... When you get up to this range, the products are all very similar in price point and performance. To me, Radflo and Icon (or Donahoe Racing) are very comparable products with impeccable reputations in the suspension industry. The same can be said about Fox and King. So it's honestly a matter of do you like chocolate, strawberry or vanilla ice cream? All good, it's just which do you prefer.

I can speak to Fox since I own them, though mine are not remote res. And yes, to echo what has been mentioned before, I can say that they initially rode stiffer than I liked. I've removed my front sway bar and it's made a world of difference. They ride great now and my front end is truly "independent". I have a buddy that has Radflo 2.5" built to OW specs (so 700 lb coils with their valving) on a V6, so it should ride extremely stiff, but doesn't because that set up required no coil pre-load to get his 3" lift. As a matter of fact, it rides fantastic. He is also sans sway-bar though.

All that being said, if I were starting fresh with the money to spend, I'd probably go with the one of your choices that I don't have real world experience with... The Icons. I'm just a huge fan of their products and company and they just have one of the best reputations in the business.

But like I mentioned earlier, at this end, all of these are re-build-able/valve-able. So at any junction, your suspension isn't performing to your spec's, then you can custom tune them for your application and purpose, be it high speed desert or low speed crawling. Hope that makes sense.

Either way, you're going to be happy. I hope I was able to at least shed a little light on your question. If I confused you even more, I apologize. As always good luck and post pics!

nice ya this helps a ton... So now i am either thinking about going with the Icon stage 2 and being able to get my tires and bumper all at the same time, or going with the all pro long arm kit and tires and holding off on the bumper for a while.

OP, did you mention in this thread what you plan on doing in your rig? Just asking, because if you're building an expedition truck that will be off-road half it's life then go big (Fox resi's, ICON, etc.). If you're looking for a weekend offroader, those obviously will do but cost a lot more than the TT Ultimate. It's all about what you are doing with your truck.

good point. For the most part this thing is my daily driver. But my last truck was a 91 hilux that i solid axle'd and ran 38's, so when i do go wheeling, which i would say once a week at least, i want something quality. I have ruled out the ultimate lift just off the fact that it isnt a true coilover and i cant rebuild it. I am pretty sure at this point i am set on the Icon stage 2, all pro rear upper and lower links, toytec panhard bar, and 1.5" bl. I have heard nothing but good things about icon. I like their extended travel version with the UCA's since i will get a little extra travel (about an inch according to Poly Performance). I was thinking about going long arm kit, but i think it is just too much for what i will be doing... I do however live ten minutes from pismo, so it would be nice, but i just dont want to go all out since it is still my daily driver. I will be running either 285/70r17's or possibly some 305/70r17. I havent decided on that yet. I will be ordering everything on sept 11th and installation will be whatever weekend comes next. My roommate is a lead mechanic at a local shop so I have access to a lift and his insane matco tool box so i will post plenty of pics of the install.
