My rear window button just died. What do I need to do?

Hey guys rolled down the back window to put some stuff in the back and got In the runner and the switch inside no longer works to roll it back up. Got out and used the key which worked and tried to roll it down with the switch and no luck. Do I just need to find a replacement switch? Or is the problem deeper. I'll call Toyota Monday and see how much the switch is. Hopefully I can find one used in the classifieds on here. Thanks for any help

Make sure your windows are unlocked on your door control. I did that and thought mine was broken. Just a thought.

I would be more inclined to believe that the problem is in the door/lock assembly. A switch would tend to exhibit symptoms of pending failure prior to just giving up the ghost. After checking the previous posters suggestion, I'd give the lock assembly and the switch a good look over before throwing any money at it. Although the window works off of the key other physical (electrical) contacts are being used. Good luck.

Exactly what I was gonna say... I thought mine went out got pissed off at it and about half hour later when I went to roll up the passenger window and then vuala! ( that is far from how its spelled)

I am so re****ed..... Damnit! Had some kids in the runner today so I locked the Windows. I've never even pushed that button before so I didn't even think about it. Damn I feel pretty dumb. Probably shouldn't mention that I pulled apart the dash and checked all the connections. Was going to pull the rear door apart tomorrow to see if its receiving power from the front. Problem solved. Thanks guys.

Sounds like you figured it out.
Another reason the window fails to work is due to the rear wiper turned on.
And wiper won't work if the window is down even a touch.
